Itinerary
Day 1 - ARRIVAL ROME
Upon arrival at Rome Airport meet your driver and get onto your private transfer to the hotel. Spend the rest of the day exploring the City of Seven Hills at your leisure. A seamless blend of old and new, Rome has something to offer to everyone, whether you are looking for historical factoids or landmarks, or simply looking to go on a shopping spree in Campo de Fiori or in Via Veneto. Don’t forget to seek out a nice restaurant in which to wrap up your first day with a plate of fresh Italian pasta. Overnight in Rome.
Day 2 - ROME
Enjoy your first Roman breakfast at the hotel. Then meet your private local guide at the hotel to discover the unique beauty of Rome. The city is perfect for exploring on foot and this tour will take you through its heart to some of its most famous landmarks. Highlights of the tour will include the Spanish Steps and the magnificent Trevi Fountain, where you may wish to throw a coin over your shoulder to ensure your return to the eternal city. You’ll visit Piazza Navona, with its wonderful Baroque fountains and imposing mansions. You’ll also visit one of the most impressive Roman structures still standing today, the Pantheon, which was completed by emperor Hadrian around 126 AD. You will be able also to enjoy some free time during the tour to stop for a coffee or try some gelato. Overnight in Rome. 1st option: Walking tour & Accademia gallery (All days, except Mondays): The first part of the tour starts at My Tour Office in Via Martelli 33red where after the check-in you’ll walk to the Accademia Gallery with our guide that will introduce you the city and main sights. Inside the Accademia Gallery you will learn why the David is the most recognizable symbol of Florence and what it used to represent in his time. Get the chance to have a close encounter with timeless works of art and get the inside story of the life and times of this consummate artist. After the guided tour you will have some free time to wander around on your own and some free time to have lunch (not included). The second part of the tour starts always at My Tour Office in Via Martelli 33red with a walking tour in which you will enjoy an excellent and complete introductory tour dedicated to those who want to know all the facts and secrets of two thousand years of Florentine history, from the city’s Roman origins to a 15th century palace, from the Ponte Vecchio, through the famous Uffizi courtyard, to the wonders of the architecture of Brunelleschi’s Dome which overlooks the Baptistery golden ‘Gates of Paradise’. 2nd option: Walking tour & Uffizi (All days): The tour starts in the early afternoon when you’ll enjoy an excellent and complete introductory tour dedicated to those who want to know all the facts and secrets of two thousand years of Florentine history, from the city’s Roman origins to a 15th century palace, from the Ponte Vecchio, through the famous Uffizi courtyard, to the wonders of the architecture of Brunelleschi’s Dome which overlooks the Baptistery golden ‘Gates of Paradise’. After the walking tour you will visit one of the most famous museums in the world: the Uffizi. Your knowledgeable guide will explain the works of the greatest artists from the middle Ages to the Renaissance: Cimabue, Giotto, Botticelli, Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo, Raphael, Titian, and many more. You will recognize original world-famous paintings you have seen in books, magazines, and on TV close-ups. You will learn about the secrets of the artists’ craft, techniques and tools. Looking at the most famous artworks of the period, you will be able to understand why Florence was the birthplace of the Renaissance. Personalize your museum experience. Day 3 - ROME – POMPEI – SORRENTO (1.5hrs by train, included)
After breakfast at the hotel, meet your driver at the lobby to reach Rome Termini train station. On board a high-speed train, you will arrive in Naples located in the south of Italy. On your arrival in Naples, a driver will wait for you. Before reaching Sorrento you’ll stop in Pompei where a private visit is scheduled. This ancient Roman city was destroyed when Vesuvius erupted in 79 AD and buried the entire city, preserving it under a sea of volcanic ash for nearly 1700 years. At the end of the visit transfer to Sorrento and check in to your hotel. Overnight in Sorrento.
Day 4 - SORRENTO
Breakfast at the hotel, after check-out, you will meet your driver in your hotel lobby and departure for the Chianti area, one of the most prestigious DOCG areas where the Chianti Classico is produced. Here, along the famous wine route “Chiantigiana”, hills of vineyards and olive groves are a perfect background of your journey. You will recognize the symbol of the Gallo Nero (black rooster) among the countryside and hilltop towns you will see here and there, many of which owe their names to Chianti, such as Greve in Chianti. The full day tour will provide a stop in a typical Chianti village, where you'll have some free time to discover the town and with its lovely gourmet or souvenirs shops. You will enjoy a wine tasting and light lunch in a local winery (included). After a relaxing lunch break, the driver will lead you to another Chianti village. At the end of the tour your personal driver will drop-off you to the hotel. Overnight in Gaiole in Chianti.
Day 5 - SORRENTO
Breakfast at the hotel. Today is reserved for exploring the area on your own. Overnight in Gaiole in Chianti.
Day 6 - SORRENTO – CAPRI (30 min by ferry)
After breakfast meet the driver at the lobby to arrive at the Sorrento Pier where you will get the Ferry to Capri. Upon arrival in Capri a driver will bring you to the hotel and porterage will be provided. The rest of the day is free at leisure. Overnight in Capri.
Day 7 - CAPRI
After breakfast meet your guide at the hotel lobby for a walking tour in Capri, which has always been the synonym of beauty. Capri Island is comprised of three main areas: Marina Grande, Capri and Anacapri. Today our guide will show you the highlights of this island walking through the narrow streets full of Italian boutique shops and you will enjoy the sea views which surround the island. Overnight in Capri.
Day 7 - CAPRI – NAPLES DEPARTURE (1 hr by ferry)
After breakfast and check out and transfer to the pier where you will board the ferry back to Naples. Upon arrival at Naples Pier a private car will take you to Naples Airport.
