Travel has always been about more than simply visiting new places for me. It’s about the memories you create, the people you share them with, and the stories you’ll still be telling years later. Those are the moments that stay with us, and being able to help create them for other people is something I genuinely love.
My journey into the travel industry has been almost two years in the making. During that time, I completed my Diploma of Travel and Tourism, gained hands on experience through industry work placement, and spent countless hours learning every part of the business. Before that, I spent time as a high school mathematics teacher, where I discovered just how much I enjoy solving problems and helping people. It turns out those same skills are just as valuable in travel.
One thing you’ll quickly learn about me is that I don’t believe every holiday should look the same. Every traveller is different, so I take the time to understand what matters most to you before making a recommendation. One of the first questions I’ll ask isn’t, “Where do you want to go?” It’s, “Tell me about your past holidays. What worked? What didn’t?” I also want to know what you’ve already researched and why, because the more I understand you, the better I can create a holiday that genuinely feels like yours.
To me, planning a holiday is like putting together a puzzle. You bring all the pieces: your travel style, your ideas, your budget, your wish list and the experiences that matter most to you. My job is to put those pieces together into something that fits perfectly. That’s the part of travel planning that I enjoy most.
Years from now, you probably won’t remember the flight number or the hotel room. You’ll remember laughing until your stomach hurt, watching a sunset with someone you love, discovering a little café you’d never have found otherwise, or that moment when you stopped, looked around and thought, “I’m so glad we came.”
If I can help create those moments, then I’ve done exactly what I set out to do.
