After four long years of anticipation, hindered by the tumultuous waves of COVID-19, the moment finally arrived – our long-awaited trip to India. The excitement was palpable as we embarked on this adventure, ready to immerse ourselves in the vibrant tapestry of Indian culture and history.

Our journey commenced with a delightful surprise—an upgrade that set the tone for the extraordinary experiences that lay ahead. Touching down in Delhi, we were immediately swept away by the city's rich tapestry of sights and sounds. Amidst the hustle and bustle of its streets, we marveled at the ancient architecture, some dating back to centuries before Christ.

Navigating the lively streets of Delhi was an adventure in itself, but returning to the sanctuary of our hotel each evening provided a welcome respite, allowing us to recharge for the next day's exploration.

Next stop: Varanasi, where spirituality permeates the air. Witnessing the mesmerizing Aarti ceremony on the banks of the sacred Ganges was a soul-stirring experience, offering a glimpse into the deeply rooted traditions of this ancient city.

Our second day in Varanasi was equally profound as we embarked on a cruise along the mystical Ganges. Amidst the serene waters, we sent off our wishes, contemplating the circle of life as we observed the cremation ghats. Visiting the site of Buddha's first sermon added another layer of historical significance to our journey, transporting us back in time to 300 BC.

From Varanasi, our travels took us to Agra, home to architectural wonders that defy imagination. The Agra Red Fort, with its grandeur and magnificence, left us in awe before we beheld the iconic Taj Mahal, its ethereal beauty leaving an indelible mark on our souls.

Our adventure continued as we explored Fatehpur Sikri before retiring to the enchanting Bishangarh Castle, perched majestically atop a hill.

Jaipur welcomed us with open arms, offering a day of relaxation before we delved into its regal past, exploring palaces and forts that echoed with tales of valor and splendor.

A brief interlude in Fort Kochi provided a tranquil respite before we embarked on a mesmerizing journey through the backwaters of Kerala, drifting along in a houseboat, enveloped by the serenity of nature.

As Diwali illuminated the skies, we found ourselves in Goa, indulging in the simple pleasures of life—drinking, eating, swimming, and sleeping—savoring every moment of relaxation and revelry.

As our time in India drew to a close, we couldn't help but reflect on the myriad experiences that had enriched our souls. From the ancient streets of Delhi to the tranquil backwaters of Kerala, each destination had woven its own unique magic, leaving us with memories to cherish for a lifetime.

In retrospect, our four-year wait only served to heighten the anticipation, making every moment of our journey through India all the more precious.

As we bid farewell to this enchanting land, we carried with us not just souvenirs, but a deeper appreciation for the beauty and diversity that defines Incredible India. Until we meet again, India, thank you for the memories.
